Stansbury High School – Stansbury Park, UT
Despite allowing three runs in the fifth inning, Park City defeated Stansbury 8-3 on Friday.
Senior Sam Strader (2-2) earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for the Miners. He allowed five hits and three runs over six and a third innings, striking out nine. Senior Gabe Lundbeck threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Lundbeck recorded the last two outs to earn the save.
Kaden Nicholes took the loss for Stansbury. He went four and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits, striking out five and walking zero.
The Miners totaled ten hits with Colton Thompson, Payton Gross, Zack Blaszak, and Max Mobley each having multiple hits with two each.
Mason went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Stansbury in hits. Stansbury was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Allie made the most plays with six.
