Junior outfielder Max Mobley didn’t feel much like getting out on Saturday, tallying four hits and leading Park City to a 11-3 win over Beaver.
Mobley doubled in the third, singled in the fourth, doubled in the sixth, and singled in the seventh.
Beaver scored three runs in the fourth inning, but the Miners still managed to pull out the victory.
Park City got on the board in the first inning. Senior catcher Payton Gross’s sac fly scored one run for the Miners. Park City put the pressure on scoring four runs in the third inning, lead by doubles by Mobley and junior Ben Agnew and a single by senior Colton Thompson.
Senior Wyatt Hudgens led things off on the mound going six innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out five and walking zero.
The Miners collected 13 hits on the day. Mobley, Agnew, and Thompson all had multiple hits the team. Mobley went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead the team in hits. Senior Sam Strader led the Miners with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with nine stolen bases.
Park City (1-3) will be in action next in a double header on Saturday, March 17th at UVU against Westlake and Orem.
