The Miners went to 2-0 in Region 11 play with a 6-2 victory over Stansbury at the North 40 on Monday.
Senior Casey Crawford and freshman Megan Lusher scored 2 goals each for Park City. Sophomore Isabella Criscione and junior Kate Young each added a goal for the Miners.
Lusher opened the scoring early in the first before Stansbury responded with a goal of their own. Later in the first, Crawford got a ball passed the goalie before sending one off the crossbar that rebounded to Criscione who promptly found the back of the net. A minute later, Young scored to push the Miners to a 4-1 lead at the half.
Lusher and Crawford scored their second goals of the game in the second half for insurance as Park City expanded their lead over the Stallions.
The Miners will travel to Tooele on Wednesday, August 30 to take on the Buffalos in Region 11 play.
