Park City High School – Park City, UT

Park City had a convincing 12-2 win over visiting Providence Hall on Monday.

The Miners captured the lead in the first inning when an error scored one run and took the lead for good with one run in the second inning when senior Ryan Brady doubled off of M Beck, driving in one run.

Park City scored six runs in the third inning; the big inning was driven by a groundout, a single by senior Zach Luna, a single by senior Josh Lansky, and a double by junior Payton Gross.

Luna earned the win on the mound for the Miners. He pitched five innings, surrendering one run, four hits, striking out eight, and walking one. Junior Wyatt Hudgens threw one inning, as two relievers helped finish off the victory. Beck took the loss for Providence Hall, tossing three and two-thirds innings, giving up eight runs, ten hits, and striking out four.

The Miners pounded out 14 hits. Brady, Luna, Gross, and senior Sam Starley each collected multiple hits.

Park City is now 17-3 overall and 9-1 in Region 10. The Miners will visit Tooele to take on the Buffs on Tuesday, May 2nd before hosting the Union Cougars in the last regular season home game at Miner Field before the playoffs.
