Region 10 Baseball – Grantsville High School, Grantsville UT

Park City jumped out to an early lead over Grantsville and took home a 9-2 victory on Tuesday.

The Miners captured the lead in the first inning. Junior Payton Gross singled on a 0-1 count in the first inning, scoring one run.

Park City scored three runs in the sixth inning, scoring its runs on a home run by Gross.

Home runs for the Miners came when senior Sam Starley homered in the third inning and Gross homered in the sixth inning.

Park City collected 11 hits. Seniors Ryan Brady, Zach Luna, Starley, and junior Gross each collected multiple hits with Gross, Starley, Luna, and Brady each managing two hits.

The Cowboys had ten hits in the game. S Lazenby and R Smith each collected multiple hits for Grantsville.

Park City is now 15-3 overall and 8-1 in Region 10 play. The Miners will host Stansbury (11-7, 7-1) on Thursday, April 26th in a battle for the top spot in the region.
