UHSAA 3A Boys Golf State Tournament at Soldier Hollow Golf Course, Silver – Midway, UT

The Miners Boys Golf team won their 9th consecutive state championship on Thursday with a 42 stroke margin over the field. Park City set an 18-stroke lead after day one and never looked back, besting their day one total by 7 strokes on day two.

Sophomore Zane Schemmer scored a 140 which forced a 3-way playoff with Noah Schone or Pine View and Michael Walters from Juan Diego.

Schemmer finished tied for 2nd with Schone when he barely missed a birdie put on the playoff hole that caught the lip of the cup and appeared to be going in but popped out.

In addition to Schemmer placing 2nd, the top scorers for the Miners were freshman Eli Kimche took 4th, sophomore Dean Tsandes placed 6th, senior Cole Lee 8th, and senior Josh Lansky and sophomore Jack Wright tied for 11th.
