Frosh Tiana Clevenger collected four hits in six at bats, as the Miners defeated Ogden 26-23 on Wednesday. Clevenger singled in the first, singled in the second, in the second, singled in the third, and singled in the fifth.

An early lead helped propel Park City to victory as the Miners scored on a error in the first inning, a double by sophomore Annie Sheinberg in the first inning, a double by junior Salina Ochoa in the second inning, a single by senior Denise Zarate in the second inning, a error in the second inning, a walk by Ochoa in the second inning, a error in the second inning, and a double by sophomore Ari Clevenger in the second inning.

After the Tigers scored one run in the top of the sixth, Park City answered with one of their own. Ogden scored when Thompson grounded out, scoring one run.The Miners then answered when there was an error, scoring one run.

Park City took the lead for good with ten runs in the second inning. In the second, Ochoa doubled off of Sanchez, driving in one run, there was an error, scoring two runs, there was an error, scoring one run, Sanchez walked Ochoa to drive in a run, there was an error, scoring one run, and Clevenger doubled off of Sanchez, driving in three runs.

Senior Ashley Farquharson earned the win for the Miners, pitching four and two-thirds innings, surrendering 15 runs, two hits, and striking out seven. Sanchez took the loss for Ogden. She tossed six innings, surrendering 26 runs, 20 hits, and striking out five.

Park City collected 20 hits. Tiana Clevenger, Ochoa, Clevenger, Sheinberg, and Zarate each collected multiple hits. The Miners tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Clevenger led the way with two.

Ogden had eight hits in the game. Moore and Thompson each collected multiple hits for the Tigers. Moore went 3-for-4 at the plate as she led the team with three runs batted in. Moore led Ogden with five stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 15 stolen bases.
